In listening to this song now, I can definitely relate to some of the lyrics:

I had to let my female self break free and I broke away from my male shackles that held me down.  That definitely made a way for me to be far happier than I ever was before...

See yesterday's post for more background about this song.  This is another song from the reel-to-reel tape that we didn't know what it was or who did it for many years.  Then one day my brother Brad came in, pulled out one of my Beach Boys albums and there it was.  It remains one of my favorite Beach Boys songs to this day.
